Be honest for a second - if you could have a pet alligator, you'd have one, right? Like, we're not the only strange people around, correct? Because we really want to have an alligator friend. We really, really, really want to be friends with an alligator. It doesn't matter what sort of an alligator - a small one with a round face, a large boy with a flat belly, or this one totally weird gator with the long nose - we just want to hang out with one of these cool dudes and make friends with them.

We could go for a friendly swim together, we could chill on a riverbank when the sun is out, we could smell some flowers on a hike, we could do everything any pair of friends can do. We just really want to be part of the cool guys, and the cool guys are alligators. Alligators are just so cool.
